Route: Mt Stuart/Cascadian coulior Climbed: June 6, 1992 Party: Emily, Steve Firbaugh, Tom Friday: Drive to trail head. Saturday: Hike in via Ingalls lake, camp at base of Cascadian couloir. Sunday: Ascent Mt Stuart via Cascadian coulior. Descend via variation 1, first coulior to the east. Pack camp and hike out to car via Long Pass. Notes: Snow at 6000 ft on south slopes, 5000 ft on north slopes. Not much snow on Mt Stuart. Snow below false summit was hard and required crampons on ascent (about 8:30 AM). Softer for descent (about 11 AM). 5 hours to ascend (Beckey's time) 4 hours to descend. We took frequent rest stops and did not push very hard. [Route description written by Tom Unger]
