Route: Sloan/Corkscrew Climbed: July 24, 1998 Approach: There are several branches on the trail before crossing the river. If you take the correct branches, and they may be well marked, you should cross two small side streams on logs then arrive and the main channel at a good crossing place. On the far bank walk up stream until you pick up a new, flagged path through the forest. Follow this 10 minutes till it joins the old path, which is a road. From here a clear trail leads to the meadows. Following the trail beyond the meadow for 10 minutes brings you to a couple small but good camp sites. Climbing: Ascend to ridge. Cross glaicer high to obvious notch on SE ridge were summit rock meets glacier. Follow clear trail across ledge on S face, around bit of W face, then scramble on up to summit.
