We assembled the canoes, moved all our gear 500 ft to a better camp site, and set up camp for the night.

It rained all night and was bitter cold. In the morning we discovered that it had snowed to 500ft above our camp. We loaded the boats and had our first day on the river.

			Entering the main current of the Sheenjek, the real beginning of our river trip.
	We climbed a hill to look for wildlife		Grizzle bear on river bank.
	Perma frost.
