# Day 5: Bunsbies

Yesterday we lay over at Nordstrom creek for a storm with South winds. Heavy rain at 5am, diminishing through the day.

Today we launch at 8\. Long crossing to the Cuttle Islets. Overcast, 67F, 100% humidity. A real coastal scorcher. Colin wishes for some whales to relieve the monotony.

Video may come from Colin, who has an action camera. However, he must edit on his phone. A tedious process. Difficult to make tight videos. But long videos are slow to upload. Not enough sun to power an extended internet session.

We reach some rocks, paddle through, and see 10 sea otters, nearly all with pups. The otters are thriving here. We see them every where. Many pups.

In the Cuttles, we meet a group of 6 kayaker, some what older than us. Got taxied out and are exploring the islands.

Cross to the Bunsbies and camp on Too Tan island. Tent sites in the forest. I’m happy to not be in sand.

A party of six arrive. Fortunately there is space for them in near by tent sites. I hope we don’t have high demand to camps down the coast.
